The clubs affiliated to the Georgetown Cricket Association on Wednesday evening, unanimously elected former West Indies Off-spinner Roger Harper to the helm of the Association.
Harper brings to cricket in the area a wealth of experience having not only served as a player, but also as coach. His knowledge it is anticipated will improve the fortunes of cricket in Georgetown and its environs.
Joining Harper on the executive are: Vice President- Neil Barry, Vice President- Surendra Hiralal, Hon. Secretary- Ken Alphonso, Hon. Asst. Secretary- Theresa Pemberton, Hon. Treasurer- Harry Parmesar, Hon. Asst. Treasurer- Dennis Wilson, P.R.O- Colin Alfred, Competition Committee Chairman- Shawn Massiah, Marketing Manager- Lance Hinds.
In his acceptance speech, Harper indicated that hard work lies ahead but as a team they can achieve their goals.
