Dear Editor,
While peace and goodwill towards all men, the hallmarks of the holiday season, were in motion, a few were gathering behind closed doors and plotting like thieves in the night.
I have received information from one of my sources that I would soon pay for my mouth in these letter columns over the past years, and more so over the past months, as I have exposed corruption and brought to light allegations of brazen under-hand activities.
Like the Kaieteur News, it appears that I, too, am being sought out by the administration to be silenced, victimized and taught a lesson.
But I have news for them. It won’t work. This is what the authorities do when they feel cornered and threatened.
They meet and work out evil schemes to deal with those who seem to be working against their best interests.
Anyone who does not agree with the authorities’ plans, decisions and ideologies is their worst enemy be it the newspapers, TV stations or individuals like me. I shall not stand idle and let anyone victimize me.
It is then when I shall employ all my resources and fight back. This is one voice no one can and will silence. Like the withdrawal of advertisements from the SN; the lessening of ads to the Kaieteur News; the constant slamming of the Kaieteur News by the highest elected official of the land at public forums, the authorities in our nation seem bent to traverse the path to dictatorship.
Kaieteur News, please do what you have been doing all along, without fear!
I shall update the media if the situation merits such. I will not take it easily. This is a free country, with everyone entitled to free speech without being singled out to be victimized.
I guess they’re evil deeds are coming to light so much that they need to resort to desperate measures to “deal with the problems” and “troublemakers”.
