E’bo Islands beat Bartica by 5 wkts
Essequibo Islands defeated Bartica by five wickets as play in the Ministry of Education, Guyana Cricket Board, Guyana Teachers Union, national schools U-15 40 overs cricket competition commenced in Essequibo recently.
Played at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground, Bartica batted first and scored 116-9 in their allotted 40 overs. Rockell Reddy top scored with 21 while Osborne Hutson supported with 18 and Safar Khan 13.
Left arm spinner Moin Khan grabbed 3-16 and medium pacer Tamesh Charritar 3-26. Essequibo Islands in reply made 119-5 in 18 overs. National U-15 vice captain Ricardo Adams led with 36 while Mohamed Hassan made 22 not out and Paul Williams 19. Reano Harry took 2-27 for Bartica.
