Kingston Grassroots Soccer Academy receives assistance
Members of the Kingston Grassroots Soccer Academy (KGSA), Fort St Kingston, continue to benefit from the goodness of their President, Junior Forrester, a former resident of that area, now residing in the United States.
The membership of the Kingston based organization recently received a supply of soccer gears compliments of their benefactor. Forrester visits Guyana frequently and during his last visit a few years ago, had made a similar donation to the club. He had then promised to continue assisting the youths of the area in whatever way he could. The recent donation represents his commitment to his promise.
“God have really blessed me and I have met some great people at my job who donated the gears after I explained their purpose,” Forrester explained from his New York base. He expressed the hope that other corporate entities would follow his lead. “Hopefully we can influence other corporate entities to get on board and support this programme.” Among some of the items received by the Kingston club are jerseys, shorts, goalkeeping gloves, several pairs of shoes, footballs, sack packs and scrimmage vests. Forrester has since promised to make a similar presentation soon.
