Zorg Islamic Academy records 85 percent CSEC passes

Three hundred and seventy-five students of the Zorg Islamic Academy located at Meten-Meer-Zorg, West Coast Demerara, attained 85 percent passes in seven subjects at the recently unveiled Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examination results.

Roshanna Ally of Cornelia Ida was able to secure for herself seven subjects with one distinction, five Grade ones and one Grade Two. Meten-Meer-Zorg resident, Bibi Nazeela Farouk, also with seven subjects attained two Grade Ones, three Grade Twos and two Grade Threes. Aslim Khan of Tuschen wrote seven subjects too and received five Grade Twos and two Grade Threes.
Also making her school proud is Nabela Basdeo of Zeelught, with her eight subjects which saw her securing one Distinction, three Grade Two’s and four Grade Threes.

The West Coast Demerara School is affiliated to the Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana which has extended congratulations, to the Principal of the school, Mr. M.O.Ali, and the hardworking staff and the students who excelled.
