The Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU), yesterday released the names of 22 players to travel to Barbados to participate in this year’s NAWIRA Under-19 Championship Qualifier for the IRB U-20, 2010 World Trophy to be held in the Cayman Islands from July 4-11.

The team will be captained by Lancelot Adonis and the other members are Gordon Andrews (vice-captain), Richard Coates, Soren Cox, Clinton Mars, Rudolph Ogle, Jamaal Yarde, Rondell McArthur, Terry Adams, Allain Crawford, Ryan Dojoy, Colin Billingy, Quincy Jones, Gavin Thompson, Javier Butcher, Trevor Mathieson, Claude Alexander, Matthew Talbot, Vallon Adams, Mark Massiah, Carl Lewis and Akeem Fraser.
The GRFU also named four reserves Kevon Campbell, Nicholas Northey, Andrew Jarvis and Jermaine Abel.
The squad will be coached by Laurence Adonis and his Assistant would be Theodore Henry, while the Manager is Curtis Jacobs.
Guyana finished fourth in the last competition, and according to President of the GRFU Noel Adonis they will be hoping to do even better this year, quickly referring to last year’s performance as an aberration.
