South defeat Central E’bo in latest play
South Essequibo defeated Central Essequibo by 43 runs when the Banks DIH Xtra White 40 overs first division cricket competition continued in zone A Essequibo recently.
Played at the Anna Regina Community Centre ground, South batted first and were all out for 150 in 35.5 overs.
Ryan Federicks top scored with 28, while Norman Federicks made 24 and Anthony Adams 20 as Kholraj Persaud and Yogeshwar Lall took two wickets each for Central who in reply could only muster 107 in 33.2 overs.
Herrel Green scored 22 and Ronford Beaton 21. Ryan Federicks returned with the ball to captured 2-23, while Patrick Rooplall took 2-16 for the winners.
