Blake & Kellman lead North to title
Bartica Football Association Inter Zone champions North, show off their medals and trophy.
A brace of goals each by national junior star Dwayne Blake and Clint Kellman piloted North to a huge 5-0 demolition of Greater Bartica in the final of the Bartica Football Association (BFA) Inter Zone competition.
North dominated the encounter from start to end as Greater Bartica could not handle the quality and experienced play of the champions.
Tucking in the other goal was Whitney Welcome.
Under-15 tournament
The BFA’s under-15 competition kicked off with Wolves United squeezing past River’s View 2-1, Lazio defeated Beacons 3-0. Both River’s View and Beacons were able to success in their next game.
River’s View humbled Rising Stars 3-1 while Beacons tamed Wolves 2-0.
Meanwhile, the BFA selected their squad for the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Inter Association competition. Devon Bissoon has been named coach with his assistant being Kenneth Edwards. Khalil Khan will perform duties as Manager assisted by Alden Marslowe.

The BFA will run off another Inter Zone competition after receiving sponsorship from Pure Diamond Incorporated (PDI).
BFA President Carlos Prowell received the $200,000 cheque and disclosed that two overseas teams will participate in the competition which will coincide with Easter celebrations.
