Dear Editor,
Everyone gets a kick out of their respective choice of music and on many occasions using the public transportation, one doesn’t have a choice, but to put up with what the driver and conductor’s choice are in the playing of music.
Of course, music with derogatory lyrics will never make it amongst my collection and the other disgusting part is the volume at which it is played.
I support the authorities with the new measures in controlling the volume of music playing, but I don’t and will not support them if the playing of the radio will also be out or banned.
This is an opportunity for advertisers, via the airwaves, to get more coverage for dollars spent, but on the other hand, should radio be banned, it means that less coverage will be available. I always believe that one must get value for their monies spent.
Had I been an advertiser via the airwaves, I will definitely review my marketing strategy and shift more focus on television advertisement, which seem to be more effective.
With so many entertainment and drama shows to choose from, advertisers should have enough options and I further list some names of shows, which in my opinion, have a great number of viewership.
American Idol being the world’s number one prime time entertainment show will definitely be my first choice and others are as follows: 24 hrs, CSI Miami, Victoria Secret Fashion Show, Prison Break, Lost, America’s Got Talent, Cold Case, So, you think you can dance, House, Miss Universe Pageant, Dancing With The Stars, etc.
Channels 7, 13 and 28, encourage your advertising agents to increase their respective innovative skills with their approach in attracting advertisers and during this particular challenging period, you might also need to review your current offers and create some new/additional appealing ones to your current and potential new advertisers.
