The Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) Cellinkplus first division and the Raymond Panday and Cummings Electrical second division two-day cricket competitions are scheduled to commence tomorrow in the Capitol City.
According to GCA President and former National under-19 batsmen Alfred Mentore, the GCA wants to focus on two-innings cricket since there seems to be a problem getting our batsmen at all levels to bat long and demonstrate a high concentration level at the crease.
The first division matches will start at 09:00hrs on both Saturday and Sunday and 105 overs must be bowled each day. Lunch and Tea will be taken on both days.
The second division matches will commence at 11:00hrs and 90 overs must be bowled each day.
In the first round of the Cellinkplus, Everest play MSC at Everest, DCC host TSC, GDF oppose GNIC at MSC and Police battle GCC at Police. In the opening round of the Raymond Panday and Cummings Electrical second division competition, Police face Everest at GDF, MSC battle GCC at Bourda, TSC take on GNIC at GNIC, GYO battle Ace Warriors at GYO and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports face-off with DCC at the Carifesta ground.
