Duo charged with trafficking in narcotics
Two residents of East Coast Demerara, Inderpaul Premnauth, 27, and Colin Ferreira, 32, were charged on Monday with trafficking in narcotics when they appeared before Magistrate Haymant Ramdhani at the Mahaicony Magistrate’s Court.
The two were remanded to prison until March 17.
The charges, laid against Premnauth and Ferreira, stemmed from the discovery of 252 kilograms of marijuana, in a motor vehicle in Mahaica on March 7, last.
