Banks Beer Division One and Williams U-11 finals on Sunday
BK International Western Tigers on course for div 1 title

Football fans in the city would be happy to learn that the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) will be concluding two tournaments on Sunday at the Tucville ground.
The long awaited climax of the Banks Beer division-one tournament will see BK International Western Tigers coming up against nemesis Flamingo in what is anticipated as a grueling final.
Both teams are already assured of their place in the Cellink Premier League but they have an old score to settle. The only game in the league which ended in a no result after a fight broke out between opposing players, was between these two teams at the Banks DIH Thirst Park ground.
Both sides have given the undertaking that there would not be a repeat of such an incident which is assuring for all involved including the sponsor.
The Tigers is the only team not to lose a match in the league and are aiming to go out with a bang but will not find the going easy against the never say die Flamingo team also based in West as the Tigers who will be without the services of forward Edison Gomes, who has moved on to Alpha United.
The third place match up brings together Beacon and Black Pearl. Kick off time is 17:00hrs.
Earlier in the day, the final and third place game in the first ever under-11 knock-out competition (Williams Cup) sponsored by United Kingdom based Guyanese Dr. Rawle Williams will be played.
Clashing for the title will be Fruta Conquerors and Santos, while Beacon will oppose Marian Academy in the third place match.
Conquerors, who also won the Courts Pee Wee League played at the same level earlier last year, are aiming for the double and will depend heavily on their star forward and captain Ryan ‘Bum Bum’ Hackett.
Santos will also fancy their chances of lifting the winning trophy. An exciting game is expected nonetheless with the future stars eagerly awaiting the referees whistle. The third place game will commence at 14:00hrs.
According to Dr. Williams, even after this tournament has been completed, the aim is to select a squad that will train every Saturday. This initiative will be sponsored by Friends of the UK.
