Dear Editor,
I write to bring to your attention a situation which was allowed to develop into an uncontrollable state. The Georgetown municipal has for a number of years allowed persons of all origins and of both genders to operate in an unsupervised manner as ‘litter pickers’ at the landfill dump site. This has resulted in a number of food items, including expired stuff, being retrieved from the dump and brought back to the markets and streets for sale. This creates quite an unhealthy situation for the general public. It’s therefore my hope that the administration will not continue to ignore the voices of the people of Georgetown, since they were elected to give services and services they must give.
