FIFA Vice President Austin ‘Jack’ Warner has given tangible support to the Kashif and Shanghai organisation for the third consecutive year.
Warner, who is also President of CONCACAF and Caribbean Football Union, stated that he was honoured to be associated with the Kashif and Shanghai football extravaganza, Guyana’s premier soccer tournament.
“I am happy to be supporting the tournament and by extension the development of football in Guyana. I would also like to publicly compliment the Guyana government for their continued support of this tournament.”
Co-director of the K&S Organisation Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major expressed his sincere gratitude to Warner for showing a high level of confidence in the year end competition which brings together the best clubs in Guyana.
The FIFA vice president donated a large quantity of balls and uniforms for the 19th edition of the tournament.
Warner also stated that his schedule is very tight but he is hoping to be in Guyana for the final on New Year’s Day.
T&T first division club side K Brand FC is the only overseas club that will compete in this year’s competition.
