An 18-year-old horse cart operator became the country’s latest road fatality when he crashed a motorcycle he was riding into a wooden bridge on the Anna Catherina Public Road, West Coast Demerara.
Dead is Kenny Ramcharran, of Anna Catherina who was pronounced dead on arrival at the West Demerara Regional Hospital at around 18:00 hours on Monday.
According to the police, Ramcharran was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and was reportedly speeding when he lost control of the motorcycle.
He received injuries as a result of the impact and was taken to the hospital where death was confirmed.
