It is most important that a writer maintains a dispassionate disposition when dealing with highly emotional issues of national import, lest anyone may conclude this writer is carrying political water for partisan purposes.I can foresee the day when I may be carrying it for myself.

Add this to the other tragedy a few months ago, when people were witnesses to an outstandingly brave hero who plunged into the filth to rescue a child, who also subsequently died, and it speaks to many things which are displaced in the society.

I have no compunction in recommending and demanding a penalty of US$10 million per child, as well as punitive damages.
