Pet jaguar causes concern in Happy Acres
Residents of Happy Acres are concerned at someone in the neighbourhood having a jaguar as a pet.
Reports state that the jaguar is kept in a cage in its owner’s yard, but it managed to get out of its cage and enter someone’s yard yesterday morning.
However, it was recaptured without incident. Kaieteur News was told that the so-called pet jaguar is more than a year old. A relative of the jaguar owner said that the man has a licence to keep the animal.
However, Kaieteur News was unable to speak to the pet owner, who was not at home at the time of its visit.
