This minister’s presentations are mostly deceptive
DEAR EDITOR,
This letter is a response to a news article in the SN on July 13, 2008 by Miranda La Rose on the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Robert Persaud’s oral presentation to the Economic Service Committee at the Parliament Building on the operations of the Guyana Sugar Corporation (GUYSUCO).
Mr. Robert Persaud presents programmes which are deceptive and unattainable. He quoted many statistical goals which are nothing but political satire. GUYSUCO is grossly mismanaged by the Government and the political situation in Guyana will only intensify the failure of GUYSUCO.
The expenditure of billions of dollars for Mr. Persaud’s projected proposals will not be accomplished. Mr. Persaud’s proposals are intended to make him look good as a future presidential candidate.
However, in Guyana pandering and deceptions are acceptable. Wake up Guyanese the clock is ticking.
