Meten-Meer-Zorg CC to host eight over softball fund raiser
In an effort to raise funds for the continued development of their Community Centre, the Meten-Meer-Zorg Centre Committee will be staging an 8-over knockout softball cricket competition on Sunday at their ground, West Coast Demerara.
A top prize of $100,000 and a trophy is at stake for the winning team with the losing finalist set to take home $20,000 and trophy.
Trophies will also be at stake for the batsman scoring the most runs, bowler with the most wickets and the man-of-the-match in the final.
An entrance fee of $10,000 will be charged for teams interested in participating. More information of the one-day competition can be sought from Troy Khan (660 2944) and Errol Baird (275 0008).
