Speedboat operator feared dead
Relatives of a boat operator who lives at Louisiana, Leguan yesterday began a frantic search for his body after he reportedly fell into a canal in a neighbouring village.
According to reports, at some time after noon yesterday, Motiram Gangadai, called ‘Lunny,’42, fell off his bicycle while riding across a bridge at Phoenix, Leguan.
The man’s bicycle was found on the bridge by residents of the area, who immediately formed a search party. However, after an intense two-hour search, they failed to locate the man’s body.
A Police source said that the man was seen earlier in the day consuming alcohol at a nearby shop. Investigations are ongoing.
