Dear Editor,
A poem of contemplation:
They died when their journey was over
They lived while energy remained
Good and bad acts there were
Remembered by those amongst us
Defend yourself oh corpse of the corrupted
Defend yourself that you may rise
Speak not of the ill that descended
Speak not of that which has tainted your remains
Speak only of what was gained
There lives amongst us those who know
There lives amongst us those who still partake
Silence purchased
Rebellion provoked
Speak not of that which we know
Let them rest in peace
Blood shed of bygone years remembered
Upon our land we hear their cries
Upon our land we know their fears
Now they meet together down under
Let their silence be their speech
Together united in the next experience
May peace settle upon their souls
Speak not ill of the dead they say
For you speak of what is already known
The dead cannot defend in the yonder
For the living know their own
For the living know their own
