Guyana has officially welcomed Colline Ward as Miss Cosmo Guyana 2026, following her appointment to represent the country at the upcoming Miss Cosmo international pageant.
A release posted by the Miss Comos Guyana Facebook page noted that the appointment marks a new chapter for Ward, a Guyanese advocate, aspiring attorney, public speaker and entrepreneur whose journey has been shaped by resilience, personal growth and a strong commitment to creating meaningful change.
At 30, Ward returns to the pageant arena with a renewed sense of purpose. Having previously placed as 3rd Runner-Up at Miss Universe Guyana in 2023, she now takes on a new opportunity to represent Guyana on an international platform. For Ward, the Miss Cosmo title represents much more than a pageant sash.
It is an opportunity to use visibility and influence to champion causes close to her heart, particularly issues affecting survivors and vulnerable communities.
Ward has built her personal and professional journey around advocacy, empowerment and service. She believes beauty should not be defined solely by physical appearance, but by the impact an individual makes on the people and communities around them.
Her advocacy focuses on helping create greater access to resources and supportive environments where individuals feel seen, heard and valued. Her ambition to pursue a career in law further reflects her commitment to justice and equity.
Through a future in the legal field, Ward hopes to become an even stronger voice for individuals who may struggle to advocate for themselves and to contribute to lasting systemic change.
Ward’s journey has not been without challenges. Having experienced profound personal difficulties, she has transformed those experiences into a source of strength and motivation.
Rather than allowing adversity to define her, she has used it to deepen her understanding of resilience, leadership and the importance of speaking up. That experience now forms an important part of the message she hopes to carry throughout her Miss Cosmo journey, particularly for young women who may be navigating difficult circumstances of their own. Ward hopes to encourage them to embrace their individuality, pursue their ambitions and understand that their circumstances do not have to determine their future.
Outside of advocacy and public speaking, Ward is also an entrepreneur and candle-maker, reflecting her interest in creativity, independence and personal development.
Her diverse experiences have helped shape a platform that combines entrepreneurship, advocacy and leadership, while emphasizing the importance of authenticity. As Miss Cosmo Guyana 2026, she will now have the opportunity to bring those values to an international audience. The Miss Cosmo platform describes its philosophy around the concept of “Impactful Beauty,” placing emphasis on contestants using their platforms to create positive influence and meaningful contributions beyond the pageant stage. For Ward, that philosophy aligns closely with her own definition of beauty.
Ward’s appointment makes her the woman who will carry Guyana’s name into the Miss Cosmo 2026 competition, giving her the opportunity to showcase not only her confidence and presence, but also her country’s culture, people and values.
Her story adds another dimension to Guyana’s growing visibility in international pageantry, while giving the country a representative whose platform is rooted in advocacy and personal transformation.
As she begins her reign, Ward is expected to use the months ahead to prepare for the international competition while continuing to develop her advocacy and public-speaking work.
For Colline Ward, the appointment is not simply about wearing a crown or representing a country. It is about accepting the responsibility that comes with having a larger audience. Her message is clear: beauty becomes truly powerful when it is used to create change. With purpose behind the title and advocacy at the heart of her platform, Colline Ward now begins her journey as Miss Cosmo Guyana 2026, ready to carry Guyana’s name onto the international stage.
