Dear Editor,
Congratulations to Stanley and Michelle Ming on 35+ years of running a successful and inspirational business … you both have so much to be proud of. Starting any business in Guyana in the early 90s was bold and challenging. You successfully persevered and diversified into the illustrious “institution” MPS is today.
I started a fire and safety equipment business in early 1994, operating out of my car and my small flat. Stanley was kind enough to rent me a container in his Urquhart St. premises. This was my 1st storage and service center. We later moved to a larger location, and I will always be eternally grateful for his interest and accommodation in our formative days. I fondly remember Stanley, Mr. Ming (Cyril), Mr. Sulieman, Michelle and Audrey being so supportive even after we moved.
Calvin and John, best wishes in your new positions. I’m sure you will be expertly guided and supported. Always remember to keep the ‘bulb burning brightly.
Sincerely,
Mark da Silva

By Sir Ronald Sanders (Kaieteur News) – Haiti’s plight must not be forgotten because it is no longer a regular feature of international headlines. The suffering has not diminished. (Kaieteur News) – It is why I like these swashbucklers operating out of Spring, Texas. They know how to keep others on their toes, and to lull their partners in host counties to sleep.
