By Krishna Nand Prasad
I stand weakly on my feet
My eyes sharing my grief in tears
And I ask
“Why?”
Who will answer?
Not the ocean certainly;
Not the majestic Barima;
Not the dead
The dead are not born to speak.
Not the survivors;
They will say what happened
Their own of the horror.
But
WHY is a mystery of the deep
Who will answer?
Who will answer?
Who will answer?
