(Kaieteur News) – Dem Boys watching this thing and dem boys shaking dem head so hard that even the neck asking for a break. Is a strange time we living in. Everybody know men got plenty explaining to do when it comes to responsibility, especially when some of dem running faster from child support than a thief from a police station.

But Dem Boys seh women got to look after themselves too. A man who ain’t ready to put a ring pun your finger might be ready to put plenty promises in your ear. And promises, like hot pepper sauce, does sound good until it burn you.

Too many women does enter a relationship with a man and start building a whole house on a foundation made out of “trust me.” Then five years later she looking around wondering why the only thing he committed to is Netflix and his old habits.

Dem Boys ain’t saying every man in a long-term relationship but with no intention to get married is a man to be careful with. Some good men does take time and build a proper relationship. But if a man spending years enjoying all the benefits of a husband without accepting the responsibilities of one, Dem Boys asking: “Who giving away the bargain of the century?”

A woman shouldn’t have to audition for the role of wife while a man enjoying the full subscription package. Some men want the cooking, cleaning, caring, and children, but when marriage come up, suddenly he become a philosopher studying “the meaning of commitment.”

Dem Boys telling women: don’t let a man keep you in a waiting room while he gone looking for the exit door. If he love you, respect you, and see a future with you, he should be able to say so with more than sweet talk and a Facebook relationship status.

And about those men who raise their hand instead of their standards — Dem Boys seh run. A man hand belongs holding yours, not hurting you. Any man who thinks violence is communication should communicate with the police.

Women, demand the ring. Demand the respect. Demand the commitment. Because a diamond ring might cost money, but a lifetime of disappointment cost plenty more.

Dem Boys seh: before you give him your heart, make sure he willing to give you his name — not just another excuse.
