(Kaieteur News) – Twenty-five-year-old Mark Major of Waterloo Street, Georgetown, and 18-year-old Jaden Jackson of Tucville, Georgetown, on Friday, were remanded to prison for allegedly committing an armed robbery.
Major and Jackson appeared at the Diamond Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Dylon Bess.
They were jointly charged with the offence of robbery under arms. The defendants denied the charge which states that on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Covent Garden, East Bank Demerara, while armed, they robbed a 20-year-old male of Covent Garden New Scheme.
Magistrate Bess did not grant bail and adjourned the matter to July 17, 2026.
