Two Dead after mining pit cave in at Mahdia

Brazilian miner Neumes Da Silva
(Kaieteur News) – Two miners were buried alive on Saturday afternoon after a mining pit caved in at Mahdia, Region 8.
The miners were identified as Franky (only name given), a Guyanese and Neumes Da Silva, a Brazilian national.
Reports are that the tragedy took place around 15:00hrs.
Up to press time, efforts were still being made to recover their bodies.
