Cumberbatch wins Draughts duel

Kaieteur Sports – Floyd Cumberbatch from Linden Region 10 was victorious in the Draughts showdown match sponsored by Omotosho Yearwood. The match was contested between Mr. Jiaram of Region 4 and Cumberbatch.

Cumberbatch wins Draughts duel

Omotosho Yearwood hands over the purses to both contestants after the action.

Twelve rounds were contested on the 8×8 boards and Cumberbatch won nine of the games and drew three.

In presenting the purse that was up for grabs; Mr. Yearwood said that the contest will continue with other challengers of the game. He pledged that in the coming weeks other contest will be held. Mr. Jiaram and Floyd Cumberbatch will engage each other again on the 10×10 boards shortly.
