Cook fined for not taking Breathalyzer test
(Kaieteur News) – A 41-year-old cook, Shannon Success, of Lot 596 Onderneeming Sandpit, Essequibo Coast, Region Two, was fined $25,000 for refusing to take a Breathalyzer test. Failure to pay the fine would result in her being imprisoned for three months.

Success appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrates’ Court on Friday before Magistrate Ravindra Mohabir where she pleaded guilty to the charge.
The court heard that on May 26, she was asked by police to undergo a breathalyzer test when stopped along the Aurora Public Road, Essequibo Coast, Region Two but did not comply.
