Cattle owner charged with Suffering Animals to Stray
(Kaieteur News) – A 54-year-old cattle owner of Garden of Eden, East Bank Demerara (EBD), was on Friday charged with four counts of Suffering Animals to Stray, contrary to Section 28(1)(a) of the Road Act, Chapter 51:01.

The offences were allegedly committed within the Prospect Young Professional Housing Scheme and Farm Housing Scheme, EBD.
Denesh Rohit appeared at the Diamond Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Dylon Bess, where the charges were read to him.
He pleaded not guilty to all four charges and was granted $40,000 bail.
The matter was adjourned to June 26, 2026.
