Dear Editor,
I wish to publicly commend the exemplary service recently experienced at the Brickdam Branch of the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) in Georgetown.
While accompanying my uncle, who had to conduct business at the office, I had the distinct pleasure of witnessing a level of professionalism that deserves recognition. We were attended to by Supervising Officer, Ms. Sharmaine Nelson and Officer Ms. Aruna Khedaru, and team all of whom demonstrated an exceptional degree of competence, knowledge, and courtesy throughout the engagement.
In a time when Guyana is undergoing rapid development and the demand on public institutions continues to increase, such standards of service are not only commendable but essential. Notably, these officers went above and beyond by working through their lunch hour to ensure that the matter at hand was efficiently resolved—an act that reflects both dedication and a strong sense of duty.
I would also like to extend special recognition to Ms. Natasha Harper, whose interaction with us similarly reflected a high level of professionalism and attentiveness.
Too often, positive experiences go unmentioned. It is therefore important to acknowledge and celebrate individuals who uphold the highest standards in public service. These officers are a credit to the NIS and to Guyana as a whole.
Yours faithfully,
Eva Etwaroo-Orderson
