Commissioner of Police T20 Cup: Competition resumes today with exciting double-header
Kaieteur Sports – The second phase of the 2026 Commissioner of Police T20 Cup will continue today following an exciting opening round of matches which ended last weekend at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary.
After a scintillating opening round, six teams advanced to the next stage of the competition where they will be joined by the Guyana Police Officers’ Team, which automatically qualified during the draw.
Today’s double-header will see Region 3 battling Region 4 ‘C’ in the first game which bowls off 9:30h.
Team positions in the standings
The second match which gets underway from 13:30h features a clash between the GPF Officers’ and Presidential Guards.
Round 2 set for Wednesday March 18 will see Headquarters and Region 1, 7, 8 & 9 Combined in a highly-anticipated match which is expected to get underway from 11:00h.
Winners of the three aforementioned matches will join Region 6 in the top 4, with the latter securing an automatic advancement to final 4 stage during the tournament draw.
The final four teams will battle in the Super 4 stages with the two sides heading to the finals, leaving 3rd and 4th place teams to clash for the third-place spot.
