Kaieteur News – Tropical Orchard Products Company Limited (TOPCO) has confirmed that one of its trucks was involved in a serious road accident on Friday at Orangestein Public Road, East Bank Essequibo, which resulted in the deaths of a father and a baby.
In a statement issued on Friday, the company said it was deeply saddened by the incident and noted that the mother was left in critical condition following the crash.

“On behalf of the management and staff of TOPCO, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones affected by this devastating tragedy,” the company said.
TOPCO also indicated that it is cooperating with investigators as the circumstances surrounding the accident are examined.
The company further stated that it will not provide additional comments at this time. “Out of respect for the grieving family and the integrity of the ongoing investigation, we will refrain from further comment until more information becomes available.”
