Kaieteur News – A 21-year-old man of Lot 9 Alness Village, Corentyne Berbice was arrested and charged for robbery committed on three individuals at Rose Hall Town, Corentyne, Berbice.
Police in Region Six have confirmed that Steve Anthony Tsoi, also known as “Timmy”, a Guyanese male of African descent, a construction worker, was apprehended on 2026-03-03 and subsequently charged on the same date with two counts of Robbery Under Arms committed on Stephen Ramsingh, Petal Sabsoop, and Gurudat Sudhai, which occurred between February 23 and February 28, 2026 at the aforementioned location.
The charges were laid under Section 222(c) of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01, Laws of Guyana.
On Friday, the construction worker appeared at the Albion Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Michelle Mathias, where the charges were read to him. He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for each offence.
The magistrate then adjourned the matter to March 20, 2026.
Tsoi, however, remained in custody pending additional charges of Robbery Under Arms, Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of Ammunition which will be laid against him on Monday.
