Red line is for a reason

(Kaieteur News) – Dem boys seh when big nation start behaving like cowboy in old western movie, is the whole world that does end up hiding under the bed.

Imagine, just imagine, the United States and Israel decided that red lines is just suggestions. Not only bombs flying over a sovereign country sky, but the unthinkable — taking out the top man, the Supreme Leader, the spiritual head, the figure that for millions is second only to God. If that line cross, then what line left?

Dem boys seh once you move from war to assassination of a head of state, you change the rules of the game. You move from battlefield to vendetta. From diplomacy to revenge. You can’t preach about international law in the morning and practise targeted killing at night and expect the world to clap for you.

Some people talking like it would be a “short war.” Short? Since when humiliation and martyrdom ever produce short anything? When you strike a leader who is wrapped in religion and nationalism, you don’t just remove a man — you create a symbol. And symbols don’t die easy.

Do the strategists in Washington and Tel Aviv really believe that a nation like Iran would fold up quiet and say, “Well, that’s that”? Even if missiles can’t reach American soil, history shows that anger does travel. Influence does travel. Proxies does travel. And patience — patient revenge — does travel.

Dem boys seh when powerful countries start normalising assassination as foreign policy, they opening a door that can’t easily close. Today it is “them.” Tomorrow it could be anybody. Every leader becomes a target. Every capital becomes a potential battleground.

And the ordinary people — the shopkeeper, the farmer, the taxi driver — is the ones who does pay the price.

The world already trembling on edge. Add political martyrdom to that mix and you pouring kerosene on dry grass. If cooler heads don’t prevail, we might all wake up one morning in a world far more dangerous than the one we went to sleep in.

Dem boys seh red line is red for a reason. Once it wash away, is only blood that does replace it.
