(Kaieteur News) – The Guyana Energy Agency (GEA) has received seven bids for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of Solar Photovoltaic System at the National Agricultural Research Extension Institute (NAREI) Mangrove Centre.
Bids which opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) office ranged from $8.2 million to $22 million to execute the project.
Government has set aside a sum of $6 billion for renewable energy in this year’s budget.
Kaieteur News understands that GEA has been actively implementing renewable energy systems at public/ community buildings across the country as part of the government’s plan to provide affordable, stable and reliable energy.
