Five held after man found stabbed to death at Sand Hill
(Kaieteur News) – A man, only identified as “Mikey,” was found dead on Sunday morning at Sand Hill, Cuyuni River, Region Seven, after leaving a farm camp to visit a nearby shop.
According to the police, the victim had been residing at the farm with other workers. On the evening of Saturday, February 28, he reportedly left the camp with another male to go to a shop in the area. Around 08:00hrs on Sunday, his body was discovered several metres from the shop with multiple stab wounds. The body was transported to the Bartica Regional Hospital for official pronouncement and then to the Bartica Mortuary for a post-mortem examination. Police have arrested five males, including some who were reportedly with the victim before his body was found.
