(Kaieteur News) – Police in Linden are investigating a fatal accident which occurred on Saturday about 22:40hrs on the Amelia’s Ward Public Road, Linden.
The collision involved motorcar PXX 5812 driven at the time by a female of Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden, and motorcycle CP 8031 driven by Trevor Daniels of Kairuni, Soesdyke-Linden Highway.
Initial enquiries revealed that the motorcyclist was proceeding east along the northern side of Amelia’s Ward Public Road, allegedly at a fast rate of speed, when the motor car reportedly drove out from a northern parking lot onto the public road and collided with the front portion of the motorcycle.
As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist fell onto the roadway and sustained injuries. He was picked up in an unconscious state by public-spirited citizens and transported to the Linden Hospital Complex, where he was seen, examined and admitted in a serious condition by a doctor on duty. He subsequently succumbed to his injuries on Sunday February 15, 2026 about 17:30hrs while receiving medical treatment. A breathalyzer test conducted on the driver of the motorcar returned a reading of 0%. Investigations are ongoing.
