Dear Editor,
Though underserved, the Speaker of the House, Manzoor Nadir should be commended for convening the long overdue selection of the Leader of the Opposition. Following this commitment by the speaker to fulfill his role, the country should face no more machinations to deny the Opposition MP’s their right and responsibility to have their say in Parliament.
Would there also be regular parliamentary sittings where equal respect and fair treatment of the Opposition members are normal?
What about the selection of Region 10 Chair without further delay?
Regards,
Faiyaz Alli
