A question for the International Cricket Council
Kaieteur Sports – Statistician Charwayne Walker has a question for the International Cricket Council (ICC) concerning one of Guyana’s outstanding cricketers of the not too distant past.
Walker noted that, former Guyana and West Indies player, Roger Harper’s, has a unique One Day International (ODI) career bowling feat.

He informed that the former West Indies allrounder, Roger Andrew Harper, is probably the only bowler that started his One Day International career and finished with the identical bowling figures.
Walker stated, the Guyanese offspinner, who featured in 105 ODI’s and 26 list A matches for the West Indies. Harper made his One Day International debut on October 13, 1983 against India at the Sher-I-Kashmir Cricket Stadium in Srinagar.
On debut, the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) legend took 3 for 34 from 9 overs with one maiden.
Walker informs, in his final and 105th ODI against Sri Lanka at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad, Harper finished his ODI career with 3 for 34 from 9.3 overs, the identical figures he had on debut against India in 1983.
As a result, Walker asks, “The million-dollar question cricket fans and I are asking is whether this unique feat by Harper has ever occurred before, could the International Cricket Council shed some light on this.”
