Excavator operator jailed for simple larceny
(Kaieteur News) – A 40-year-old excavator operator was on Tuesday sentenced to 24 months in prison after he was charged with the offence of simple larceny.
Rawle Munroe
The accused, Rawle Munroe of Two Friends Village, Ann’s Grove, East Coast Demerara appeared at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Sunil Scarce, where the charge was read to him.
Munroe pleaded guilty and was subsequently sentenced to 24 months in prison.
According to the police, he was arrested on January 6, 2025 for the crime committed against Ramdeo Persaud at Enmore, East Coast Demerara.
