(Kaieteur News) – An Enmore East Coast Demerara man was chopped in his head early Sunday morning during a fight with his neighbour, police have reported.
The chopping incident occurred about 00:30hrs at Beezie, Enmore, East Coast Demerara. The incident involved a 52-year-old male Labourer and a 31-year-old male Taxi Driver, both of Beezie, Enmore, ECD.
Enquiries revealed that the two males who are neighbours, were involved in a verbal argument which led to a physical altercation. The 52-year-old collapsed a short distance away and was later observed by ranks on mobile patrol who immediately transported him to the Enmore Regional Hospital where he was admitted in a stable condition. The 31-year-old suspect was later arrested at the Enmore Police Station and escorted to the same hospital for medical attention. Investigations are ongoing.
