(Kaieteur News) – As we move beyond the Christmas season, I trust that many of us experienced moments of joy, connection, and reflection.
My Christmas this year was very simple. It was not about elaborate plans or excess. It was about celebrating with loved ones in the most meaningful way. Love was present and palpable. It was clear how deeply we care for one another, and I found myself overwhelmed with gratitude for my family. As the decorations come down and the calendar begins to turn, we naturally shift our focus toward what lies ahead. Even if Christmas did not unfold exactly as planned or if the gifts were not what we expected, there is still so much to be grateful for. Life itself is a gift.
This transition between years is a powerful time. It offers us the opportunity to reflect honestly and to become intentional about our next steps. As we close one chapter and prepare to open another, there are important questions worth asking ourselves. What worked for me this past year. What did not. Where did I grow ? Where did I hold back? How did I invest my time, my energy, and my emotional currency? Who did I become along the way?
These questions are not meant to overwhelm us. They are meant to ground us. Reflection is not about living in the past. It is about learning from it so we can move forward with clarity and purpose. This season of reflection has been especially meaningful for me. I have intentionally chosen to take a sabbatical. This is not a pause born out of exhaustion, but one rooted in purpose. It is a time I have set aside to go deeper into my mission, my vision, my core values, and my purpose.
I have always valued the importance of pausing to reflect, but this season feels different. It feels more intentional. During this time, I am stepping away from constant engagement and social media, creating space to study the Bible more deeply, to listen more attentively, and to focus on becoming a better version of myself. This sabbatical is about alignment. It is about ensuring that who I am becoming internally matches the work I am called to do externally. It is about growth, clarity, and obedience to the next level of purpose.
I will be ending my sabbatical one week before the Vision Life Book event, and I am truly looking forward to serving from a place of overflow, clarity, and renewed purpose. I am coming full, grounded, and ready to pour into others from a place of intentional preparation. As I reflect on vision, I am reminded that vision is not just about goals or achievements. Vision is about direction. It answers the question of who we are becoming and how we choose to live our lives.
Over the years, I have facilitated vision board parties , and I have witnessed powerful manifestations come from them. Vision boards are beautiful tools. They are visual and inspiring. They help us see what we desire and keep our dreams in front of us. However, as I continue to grow, I felt a strong nudge to take this work a step further.
This is where the Vision Life Book comes in.
A vision board focuses primarily on visuals. It answers the question of what we want. A Vision Life Book goes deeper. It helps us explore why we want what we want and how we plan to move toward it. A Vision Life Book is a structured and intentional guide for our life. It combines vision, reflection, journaling, planning, affirmations, and action steps in one place. It is not something you create and forget. It becomes a companion that grows with you and evolves as you do.
One of the greatest advantages of a Vision Life Book is depth. It allows us to look honestly at every area of your life. It helps align our vision with our values and our daily actions. It encourages clarity rather than confusion and intention rather than reaction. Another powerful benefit is that a vision board can be extracted from a Vision Life Book. Instead of starting with images alone, you begin with clarity. You reflect. You write. You define your intentions. From there, you create visuals that truly represent what you are intentionally building. This creates alignment between what you see and what you are working toward.
I speak about this with confidence because I have lived it. Creating my own Vision Life Book had a profound impact on my 2025 journey. It helped me stay focused during moments of uncertainty. It guided my decision making. It reminded me of my priorities when distractions arose. It gave structure to my vision and direction to my actions.
Because of that experience, I am deeply excited to share this process with others. From January 16th to 18th, I will be hosting the Vision Life Book experience both in person and online. You can participate from anywhere in the world, and you only need to choose one day to attend. Whether you join us virtually or in person, the experience is designed to be reflective, empowering, and practical.
This is not about rushing into a new year with resolutions that fade within weeks. It is about taking the time to design your life with clarity and purpose. It is about creating a blueprint that supports your growth throughout the year and beyond.
Scripture reminds us of the importance of vision.
Where there is no vision, the people perish. Proverbs 29 verse 18.
Vision gives direction. Without it, we drift. With it, we move intentionally.
Dr Myles Munroe taught that vision is even more vital than sight. He described vision as a divine blueprint from God and the source of purpose, discipline, and motivation. Vision allows you to see potential and what could be, not just what is. He often reminded us that the greatest gift given to humanity is not sight but vision, and he emphasized that if your vision dies with you, then you have not fulfilled your assignment.
One of my personal guiding quotes reflects this truth deeply.
When we keep a positive mindset through temporary setbacks, envision our future beyond present circumstances, and put God first, we unlock our full potential and attract the people aligned with our purpose and vision. As we step into a new year, my encouragement is simple. Take time to reflect. Ask yourself meaningful questions. Get clear about who you are becoming. Choose tools that support intentional living, not just momentary inspiration.
If you feel called to explore a deeper level of vision and alignment, I would love for you to join us for the Vision Life Book experience. An early bird special is available before December 31st. For more information or to register, you may email me at sonianoel@gmail.com or message me on WhatsApp at 592 684 8129. As we move beyond the runway, beyond the celebrations, and into a new season, may we do so with clarity, intention, faith, and love. Vision is not just about the year ahead. It is about the life we are intentionally creating.I will love for you to share your vision with me as we celebrate this beautiful journey called life BEYOND THE RUNWAY.
