(Kaieteur News) – Dem boys hope everybody get what they want for Christmas. The funny thing though is some people don’t know what they want. Some of dem does go shopping and pick up the wrong thing.
It remind them boys of de time a man get hauled before the courts. It was Christmas time, and de magistrate feelin’ lil’ generous and inna festive mood.
“What is de charge?” he ask de prosecutor.
De prosecutor seh, “Dis man get charged fuh doing he Christmas shoppin’ early.”
“Early shoppin’?” de magistrate seh. “Whah wrong wid dat?”
De prosecutor seh, “He do he shoppin’ before de store open, your Worship!”
It mek dem boys recall de story of Rahim and Marsha
Dem boys seh, Rahim and Marsha deh in de mall jus’ before Christmas.
All of a sudden, Marsha notice seh Rahim done disappear. She call he on he cellphone and seh, “Rahim, where yuh deh? We got plenty tings to do, yuh know.”
Rahim seh, “Yuh remember dat jewellery shop we did go inside bout ten years ago, an’ yuh fall in love wid dat diamond necklace? At de time, I could not afford it, but I tell yuh I go get it one day.”
Marsha start get lil tears in she eyes and choke up. “Yes, I remember dat shop,” she seh.
Rahim seh, “Well, I deh at de bar next to dat shop.”
Talk half. Leff half.
