Kaieteur Sports – Chess Master Kyle Couchman, the 2025 National Junior Chess Champion alongside his fellow Guyanese were hailed by the Guyana Chess Federation (GCF) recently following an exceptional 2025 Inter-Guiana Games.
Team Guyana did well individually and collectively with spots 2 to all the way to 10 in the championship being occupied by Sachin Pitamber, Richardo Narine, Micaiah Enoe, Aditi Joshi, Jerod Roberts, Matthew Singh, Alexander Zhang, Nicholas Zhang and Aqiulani Swanmadha
The GCF also recognized the efforts of the local Women’s team, with Champion Aditi Joshi,2nd place Ciel Clement and 3rd place winner Aniyah Couchman, all having brilliant matches against French Guiana and Suriname.
Guyana’s contingent of young Chess masters are currently engaged in the 2025 CAC, which got underway on December 14.
