(Kaieteur News) – Dis is de Season when yuh does have plenty Christmas parties. And dem staff does enjoy themselves. When things free people does go overboard and don’t know dem limits.
Dem boys seh yesterday one man gone by a Christmas party and de spirits was flowing more than de rains in rainy season. Fuh every beer he drink, he follow it wid a cocktail, and fuh every cocktail he follow it wid a couple shots. By de time he done, he was seeing double and walking single.
But he still had lil sense lef in he head. He tell heself, “Bai, you over de limit. Time fuh do de responsible thing.” So he decide fuh do something he never do in he life—he tek a taxi home.
On de way, dem boys seh he meet a big police roadblock. Soon as de officers see is a taxi, dem wave he through like VIP. He reach home safe, steady, and proud ah heself.
But here is de ketch: he shock bad, because he never drive a taxi before in he life! He ain’t know where he get de taxi from, how it end up in he hand, and now de blasted thing deh park up in he garage. Dem boys seh he still trying fuh decide whether fuh return it, sell it, or start a lil hire car business.
So dis year, when you get “wasted” at yuh workplace Christmas party, please leave them people hire car alone. Beg a drop home or call a recognised taxi service. Otherwise in the New Year you will find yourself as a ‘barman” -behind bars.
Talk half. Leff half.
