New Amsterdam man arrested for gun found in drawer
(Kaieteur News) – Police have arrested a 25-year-old Tucber, New Amsterdam resident after a firearm was found in the house he occupied.
In a statement, police said that at around 03:00h during an intelligence-led operation, the weapon was found in a drawer.
The firearm which was discovered.
“During the operation, ranks conducted a search at the premises where a 25-year-old male was the sole occupant. A.22 calibre firearm was found in a drawer inside the house,” police said.
The gun was seized and is lodged at the Central Police Station, pending further investigations.
