Kaieteur Sports – The wait is over, the 2025 Courts Optical Pee Wee Under-11 Schools Football Championship comes to a thrilling close this Saturday at the Ministry of Education Ground, Carifesta Avenue, where two unbeaten powerhouses will clash for glory: St. John the Baptist Primary and Leonora Primary.

Leonora’s self-proclaimed Messi will also be looking to cash-in this Saturday against a strong SJTB defense. The ultimate Pew Wee moment is finally here.
After five weeks of high-energy Boy’s U11 football action, the stage is set for a battle of skill, grit and heart.
From Bartica, St. John the Baptist Primary (SJTB) enters the grand finale as the team to beat, a flawless campaign boasting 22 goals in the preliminaries and a cool head under pressure in a tense shootout win over St. Gabriel’s in the quarterfinal.
Led by midfield strategist Neymar Edwards, the agile Alex Pearson, and clinical finisher Aaron Christian, SJTB has shown why many see them as this year’s destined champions.
Standing in their way is Leonora Primary, the pride of Region Three and the definition of quiet confidence. Their road to the final has been no easy stroll, conquering giants like Tucville and West Ruimveldt on their way here.
With Chrison Austin pulling the strings in midfield and the attacking duo Jhonathan Melvin and Adrian Harry in red-hot form, Leonora has proven that they belong among the frontrunners.
Two unbeaten sides. One trophy. Expect fireworks, fancy footwork, and fearless football as these young talents chase Pee Wee immortality.

St. John the Baptist Primary will be no walk in the park… the undefeated campaigner has eyes glued on the 2025 title.
Before the final, see Redeemer Primary taking on West Ruimveldt Primary for the third-place spot. Several prizes will be on offer. In addition to the top four accolades, teams were afforded the opportunity to finish in positions fifth to eighth.
The race to Under-11 glory concludes this Saturday. Will it be ST John the Baptist or will it be Leonora Primary? The action awaits you.
The Courts Optical Pee Wee Football Tournament, now in its 12th edition, is hosted by the Petra Organisation in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, with strong support from MVP Sports, Sterling Products (Igloo Ice Cream), Sky Tec Enterprise, and Demerara Mutual, which provides insurance for all participants.
Kickoff 15:00 hours: Saturday, Ministry of Education Ground, Carifesta Avenue.
