Israel continuing the attacks on Palestine
Dear Editor,
I am sitting looking at the TV in relation to what is happening around the world and specifically the Middle East and I recall conversation I have had with many “intelligent” and certificated persons who attack me for criticising capitalism.
A few famous persons come to my mind; Bob Marley who sang for us to liberate ourself from “mental slavery”; political scientist and writer Gramsci who wrote about cultural hegemony; Marx who wrote about the economic base generating an ideological paradigm which defends and justify the existing economic order and also the person who came up with the concept of house slaves.
So when I criticise the present economic system you can imagine the attacks on me. Not by the elites, but by ordinary workers and professionals with some level of specific education. They know that what they know is the only truth. Instead of refuting the criticisms the usual response is look at socialism.
So look at the Middle East and ask yourself if what is tsking place there is caused by the socialist/communist. If not, who is causing it and why. The answer is clear the West and its thirst for natural resources to feed the production and profit making machinery of the rich imperialist capitalist countries and the elites of those countries.
Israel is in the middle of it and is the protector of those natural resources. For those who believe Israel was the result of the holocaust, think again. The idea of Israel was since the early 19th century. The Balfour Declaration was in 1917, signed on the second of November 1917. The British sent a letter signed by Arthur Balfour to Jewish leader Lord Rothchild ( as many know this is the family that controls too many central banks). The letter was about British support for the establishment of a national home for Jewish people in Palestine.
Funny thing it was the Christians world who mostly persecuted the Jews many of whom were in fact living peacefully in Palestine. In 1917 it was about 60,000. It was the Christian Germany who carried out the holocaust. And by the way the first people who came under attack by Hittler was the Communist the people we were brainwashed to hate and the very people who led the struggle for workers rights and democracy but that is another story that most are not aware of.
So fast forward to today’s genocide of Palestinians by the Zionist, not the Jews. The religious Jews states clearly “NOT IN OUR NAME”. Today it is a crime in many western countries to speak out in defence of Palestine and against Israel genocide. Persons are fired, deported and pressured for daring to speak out against the genocide.
This genocide is fully supported by the leaders of the West. So, we have the European leaders complicit, and we have the indifference or even cowardice of the Arab leaders.
We have an Israel imposed famine in Gaza that has resulted in over 68,000 mostly women and children dying. A flotilla carrying food, medicines etc is approaching Gaza. Israel has already bombed two ships. Israel has created a barricade of ships blocking the flotilla. Ships were seized and over five hundred arrested and awaiting deportation..
While this is going on the Arab leaders are hiding in the security of their palaces. They condemn but continue trading with Israel. When I heard Erdogan of Turkeye speak I say very strong Language but then after no action
The reality is, it is they who should have been approaching Gaza with a flotilla.
It is shameful to note Saudi ships are transporting weapons to Israel. While the Arab world does nothing but talk, European workers and people are taking action to oppose and expose the geocide of the Palestinians.
While i am writing Israel is continuing to bomb Gaza Killing women and children although a cease fire initiated by President Trump is in place. Israel ignores President Trump and continues to bomb.
While the western leaders are upset with the relatively few civilians being killed in Ukraine and sanctions Russia they supply the bombs and the intelligence and the electronic surveillance for the mas murder of Palestinians. Apparently, Palestinians are not people for them so over 70,000 killed, mostly women and children and more than that injured.
Clearly humanity has fled.
