Dear Editor,
CRG is pleased to learn that there are plans in the works to renovate and upgrade the drainage system for the Capital. This will most likely entail improvements to our sea defences. In addition to this good initiative, it will also be necessary for the current administration to replace the underground infrastructure in the city that supports our water and sewage systems.
These systems are usually a part of the larger water and sewage treatment systems that should be located on the outskirts of the city. Processing is necessary to produce an effluent that meets EPA standards for release into the surrounding environment or for reuse applications that reduce the risk of water pollution and raw sewage discharges. To avoid added expenditure the underground infrastructure improvements should occur prior to further road repairs not in need of immediate attention.
Best regards,
Jamil Changlee
